This book is good as are all of this writer's books. Full of werewolves and action. Good story line and great characters. So grab your copy and enjoy reading this book.
And I like Garth. This backstory fills in the blanks for us, but it's longer than it needs to be, and somehow leaves him a flatter character than he is in the main books.
Garth's backstory was an enjoyable read, filling in as it did the details about his situation that were missing from the Trilogy in which he first appeared. But not only Garth's backstory, Mac and Jerry's backstory was also briefly covered. As with most novellas, I wish it had been a full blown novel, but them's the breaks.
I loved Garth and it was nice to finally see how he ended up a werewolf and how he came to be exiled. It starts off as Garth being human and ends with him being employed to protect Leandra during the proving. Great story.
An interesting take on the life of a guy raised in a pack without being a werewolf. Really understood his emotions and following him through his life and his choices was powerful. I liked how the author separated the wolves into two classes, moon born versus wolf born. The story was entertaining.
I am so glad you wrote this filling in the gaps in Garth's story which was only lightly touched on in the Proving Trilogy.
It gave an insight into the relationship between him, Trevor and the events leading up to his exile from the pack.
Really enjoyed reading it and can't wait for your next book.

Moonborn The Proving by Marina Finlayson is an intriguing paranormal novella-length prequel about Garth, the human stepson of the werewolf pack leader. He always wanted to be a wolf but remained an outsider. I gave this five stars.
